Abstract
Lev Klejn, an acclaimed archaeologist and anthropologist, gives an interview on the eve of his 90th anniversary, talking about his life, chosen ways, academic career, twists and turns of university life in the Soviet times, and the development of ideas in anthropology, archaeology and related fields in the humanities and social sciences.
