Abstract

The article discusses the notion of bullying and image of the bullie. Drawing on own field research conducted in Moscow and the Tyumen region in 2013-14, the authors examine similarities and differences between school bullying in the context of the large city and the rural area. They inquire into personality traits of the bullie as well as attitudes toward bullies at school. Latest studies on the problem are reviewed in the article; and measures for the prevention of bullying are discussed.
