Abstract
Peculiarities of formation of Russian ethnic-cultural “islands” on the territory of Perm Prikamye as a variant of local traditions are examined in the article on the basis of different sources. Ethnic-cultural, religious, geographical, social, ethnic, administrative boundaries and other factors, leading to the isolation and formation of “island” traditions, are examined. The author describes several models of Russian ethnic-cultural “islands” in the Russian environment, drawing on specific cases, such as those of factory settlements, religious, social, and geographic isolation.
