Abstract
The results of the fi eld research of a new sacral centre formed in the area of Okunevo village (Omsk region, Muromtsevo district) in the last two decades are discussed in the paper. The specifi cs of mass consciousness in the sphere of new mythology of history were revealed, and the queer mythological interpretations of local rich archaeological heritage were characterized. Conclusions about the specif-ics of modern historical and archaeological myths were made: the irrational and mystical experience as a source of knowledge about the past; naive etymologies, easily “proving” ideologically determined scenarios of peoples, languages, and cultures origins; the conspiracy of the Dark forces that hide true historical knowledge from the people; the freedom of inclusion to the great epochs, and the juggling of the millennia of history
