Abstract
The article aims to expound an academic biography of K.I. Kozlova, one of the leading Russian ethnologists working in the field of Finno-Ugric studies. The author argues that K.I. Kozlova’s development as a professional ethnologist reflected to a large extent the history of Russian ethnological discipline not only at Moscow State University, to which the scholar’s entire career was tied, but also as a whole throughout the Soviet/Russian period; and that her works contributed greatly to the shaping of scholarship on ethnic and cultural history of Povolzhie and Ural peoples.
