Abstract
The article traces the ways in which changes in outlook and behavior, related to marriage and family relationships, occur among Tajik migrant workers employed in a different ethnic and religious setting. The author analyzes the manner in which the transition from the tabooing of intimate life to the new forms of marriage takes place and the private space becomes blurred. Cases of risky sexual behavior as well as factors determining these risks are discussed.
