Abstract
The article is a survey of the major concepts that emerged in a number of disciplines as a means for analyzing the interaction between users and technologies. It aims at introducing the reader to the area, still rather novel in the Russian scholarship, of studying the materiality of nowadays; as well as at showing the possibilities that the conceptual findings in the STS, feminist criticism, cultural and media studies areas open for research; and at demonstrating the ways in which these fields, in turn, employ classical anthropological concepts.
