Abstract

The article explores bodies in Pokémon Go, a mobile geolocation game with augmented reality. The game immediately gained popularity among a broad audience worldwide, while researchers got an opportunity to leave laboratories and study the practice of augmented reality in the field. The empirical material examines the bodily-sensory experience of the game, which becomes the point of assembly of the player’s “realities”, which can be visible or invisible to outside observers.
