Abstract
The article analyzes craniological series of the ancient Cuban aboriginal pre-ceramic population – siboneys (ciboneys). The material is composed of measurements taken by V.V. Ginsburg in 1964, V.P. Alekseev in 1973, and new data collected by the author in 2015. The results are close to those of previous researchers, but the preliminary conclusion of V.V. Ginsburg about the possible existence of two morphological types (a narrow-faced and a wide- and low-faced ones) has been found questionable. The article also provides an overview of morphological characteristics of the local micro-series, which lets us draw up guidelines for future research.
